Surrender My Love is a standalone story that is part of the Bradens at Peaceful Harbor Series. Annalise (Leesa) Avalon comes to Peaceful Harbor trying to escape the mess that she finds her life in. She is quickly embraced by the community and she jumps pretty quickly into a relationship with sexy doctor Cole Braden. But Leesa soon realizes that she needs to deal with her past before she can find happiness in her future. “I feel like I’ve waited my whole life to meet you. When you’re ready I’ll be here, whether it takes a day, a week or a year.” I love Peaceful Harbor and getting to know more Bradens and their neighbors. This author really delivers with small town romance feel. I listened to this story on audiobook and enjoyed the very enjoyable narration. -4 Stars-

Melissa Foster delivers a well-planned story that drew me in and wouldn’t let go. Cole is a doctor and workaholic who fall in love with Leesa, a girl he meets at the local coffee house. Leesa is a teacher by heart, who has left the profession after an accusation destroys her reputation, even though it was false! Cole and Leesa are both wary of love, yet they are quickly together. Leesa worries that her past may hinder Cole’s practice, even as she forgives her accuser. Forgiveness leads to healing, and then Leesa can surrender her heart to the man she has come to love. I enjoyed the auction, and I enjoyed Cole’s compassion for his young patient. Melissa Foster does know how to write multi-faceted characters with family at the center. I listened to an audio-version of this story. The narrator, BJ Harrison, did a good job with the voices, especially the female voices. He captured the story well. If you enjoy happily-ever-afters, this is a good one!

Loved Cole & Leesa's story. The Auction of the Braden boys was so enjoyable. Being a teacher of 32 years, I could relate to Leesa's feelings and the plot was well written concerning Andy. The situation happens so much anymore to many teachers, nurses, or anyone dealing with children & their parents. Definitely a 5 star book! It's so important at the end of the book that student, parent, & teacher obtained closure. Thanks to Cole's love, Leesa had her happily ever after.

Like all the Braden men, this book was great. I think this has to be the fastest engagement ever? OMG, I can't imagine what it is like to be accused of doing something you really didn't do and having to except the life altering changes. This was a strong story line, left me feeling vulnerable, whew great job Melissa Foster.

Surrender My Love is a relatable story that really resonates with the reader. The author, as always, develops compelling characters and interesting storylines. I loved Cole from the minute he walked onto the page. He is extremely sexy - it just oozes out of the pages as you read about him. He's a strong, confident man who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to go after it. But, he's also sensitive to Leesa and her struggles. I struggled with Leesa a bit at the beginning. After understanding the challenges she faced, it felt as though she was blowing her reaction a bit out of proportion, despite the fact she'd been exonerated. Having never been in the situation she faced, I don't know how I would have reacted but I felt her reaction was assuming a level of guilt and hysteria that was a bit disproportional. As with all typical romance novels, Leesa and Cole find their happily ever after. But, the story wasn't all wrapped up in a nice little package with a bow on top, and I was happy to see that. In real life, everything doesn't always work out as you'd like. In this case, I felt the reactions of the parties involved were realistic and I really enjoyed how the author handled the interactions between the boy and his father. I'm loving the Braden's of Peaceful Harbor and the mentions to previous Bradens. Can't wait for the next story in the series. Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
