Love the story but hate the ending. David’s father was right, the “Alfred Hitchcock ending” is a cheap way to end a story.

What a waste of time and money to buy this. Plays out like a bad made for television movie. My first attempt reading from this author, my expectations were too high I guess. Some teen-aged boy’s version of a good storyline?... The main character hooking up with the green-eyed woman as he continually mourns his wife and battles mythical-type monsters? Eye-roll inducing. The contestant banal chatter and arguing amongst the characters. There is no depth anywhere. Not in the characters or storyline. Everything is explained out to the reader is a mind-numbing sort of way. Would have been much more suspenseful and frightening if the creatures were not described in detail. Would have been scarier for the mist to contain something sinister and unknown vs comical, space-age creatures. I will not attempt any more from this author. No thanks.

Writing was wonderfully descriptive. Bland at times, though. Seemed King took an easy way out for the ending. That's why I gave a three. Story was good leading up.
