Description

All she wants for Christmas is a fake fiancé…

A sexy cowboy romance from the NYT bestselling author who brought you the Sons of Chance and Thunder Mountain Brotherhood series.

Just once Hayley Bennett would like to spend the holidays at her parents’ house without feeling as if she’s stepped onto the set of The Bachelorette. Her mom’s been planning her wedding since the day she was born, but thirty years later, Hayley hasn’t come up with a groom. Or has she?

Air Force vet and Southerner Badger Calhoun is delighted to be Hayley’s seatmate on the flight from Denver to Eagles Nest. He’s visiting his buddy Ryker McGavin for the holidays, but when he discovers Hayley needs a guy she can present to her marriage-minded momma as her fiancé, he’s all in. Pretending to be her devoted boyfriend is a no-brainer. He can’t resist helping a beautiful damsel in distress.

But when the holiday ends, can he just walk away?

I have come to love this series of the McGavin brothers. Brave and honorable men back home in Eagle’s Nest making a life and finding their significant others. Ryker McGavin’s friend and silent partner of Badger Aviation, has come to visit him. Badger meets Hayley at the Denver airport . They end up sitting together on their flight to Eagle’s Nest. Hayley wants to visit her family but her mother’s matchmaking attempts are making her dread the visit. Badger offers to be her “fake” boyfriend so she is not harassed. But as we know , the best laid plans tend to go haywire, and this one certainly does. Especially as the story gets complicated and feelings are starting to develop. The story was engaging and both the main characters , as well as the secondary characters, like her parents, were well developed. It’s a stand alone story, but if you have read the previous books, you get a chance to catch up on the lives of those characters. A nice addition for the holiday season or anytime of the year. I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
