Divergent: Book Summary - Divergent Trilogy Book 1

I'm not really probably the most psychological person.  Sometimes I read stories and then mull them over for days after I have completed reading them.  Divergent by Veronica Roth is probably the one that has this power. It is a great science fiction story with respectable character improvement and a touch of love. Please note that while there's kissing and love in the book, romance is actually low down on the points you consider whenever you study it.
Divergent is the debut novel of American novelist Veronica Roth, released by HarperCollins Children's Books in 2011. It's a young-adult dystopian novel set in the so-called Divergent World; a post-apocalyptic edition of Chicago. The novel follows Beatrice "Tris" Prior as she explores her identity within a society which defines its people by their social and personality-related organization within 5 various factions. Underlying the action and dystopian concentrated primary plot is really an intimate subplot between Tris and Four, one of her trainers in the Dauntless Faction.
The novel has been compared to other young adult books like the Hunger Games and The Maze Runner because of the comparable themes and target audience. Specifically, the novel explores the themes typical to youthful adult fiction, such as adult authority and the transition from childhood to maturity, as well as wider motifs, like the place of violence and social constructs inside a post-apocalyptic society. Its main plot device, the particular division of society into personality types, is one found in other science fiction works. Beyond its literary context, Roth's open assertion of her religion like a Christian has brought comments from Christian communities each promoting and defending the novel.
