Description

Folks say I'm reckless. I suppose loading a Texas Ranger in the ass with buckshot in my fit of jealousy earned me more scrutiny than the preacher's wife at a Sunday potluck.

Now I work as a deputy, and the pistol on my hip is registered. I'm finally moving past all the tongue wagging about my youthful escapades. That is until Gunner Wilson, the object of said target practice, struts his cowboy boots back into town. Now he keeps showing up everywhere with that sexy grin of his.

All I want to do is solve this latest case then kick the cocky, tattooed lawman to the curb. But Gunner has gotten under my skin. And hell, that's a problem, because I've made a new life in Pistol Rock, one that doesn't include my hotter than hell ex-boyfriend. Except now I need his help...and asking a favor from Gunner might cost me more than just a pair of panties...

Reviews

  • Not what I would call romance, but a cute story

I found this book under romance, but I would say it is more mystery. It reminds me of the Stephanie Plum series. Cute story and a quick read.

Not a good book to read. The female lead character could have been way better.
  • Couldn’t even finish.

The story felt disjointed, I kept going back and rereading things to see what I had missed. The main character ignored obvious things going on and aimlessly blamed anyone and everyone without actually doing any real investigating. Honestly I like most books and don’t usually give reviews but I couldn’t even finish this one.

I couldn’t stop reading! Had to see what was next. Kept saying one more chapter one more chapter and before I knew it, I was done lol. Easy to follow. Enjoyable read.

Loved the storyline and characters! All the small town intrigue turns into murder and mayhem! Lots of humor and reminders of how both good and horrible a small town can be!
