A tender addition to the #1 New York Times bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas, bridging the events of A Court of Wings and Ruin and upcoming books.

Feyre, Rhysand, and their friends are still busy rebuilding the Night Court and the vastly altered world beyond, recovering from the war that changed everything. But Winter Solstice is finally approaching, and with it, the joy of a hard-earned reprieve.

Yet even the festive atmosphere can't keep the shadows of the past from looming. As Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, her concern for those dearest to her deepens. They have more wounds than she anticipated-scars that will have a far-reaching impact on the future of their court.
Bridging the events of A Court of Wings and Ruin with the later books in the series, A Court of Frost and Starlight explores the far-reaching effects of a devastating war and the fierce love between friends.

  • It’s important to understand what this is before you start reading it.

This book gets a lot of hate, but I enjoyed it. I think it’s important to go into it with the understanding that it’s not like the previous 3 books. It doesn’t further the plot line in any way, but it’s just a nice quick glimpse of what their love is like during a time when their lives aren’t on the line. I can understand being disappointed in it if you didn’t know what to expect beforehand, and can see how it would seem ‘pointless’ since nothing exciting is really happening. But if you’re a person who just wants a little more of the love story without the action & danger, it’s a nice expanded happy ending to the previous book.

This is 400 pages of Xmas shopping.
  • Poor, but very wealthy Feyre.

I love this family but Feyre talking about how sad she was because Rhys was wealthy annoyed me just a little. If you are going to be a material girl. Be a material girl…
  • Fun quick read

I honestly loved it! I’ve read reviews where people were disappointed that it was dull or non-eventful but I’ve always felt like I wanted to know what happened at the end of a dramatic ending of a book. And we got it here!

  • A quick read

A quick enjoyable day read. Feels rushed by the back and forth style of writing. But a good in between book.
