Incredible book, that I just couldn’t put down. Stayed up for two nights reading it and I regret nothing! Very well written, with witty dialogs and constant action. Loved it!

Mahalo for helping us through these trying times. It brightened my world a bit more reading Kate’s world. It was all that and more.
  • Excellent!

As with the rest of the series, another excellent book. It’s wonderful how the characters moved forward 8 years, but we (readers) were not lost with the changes 8 years can bring... Brilliant!! Now to the negative- I want more. Yes, I’m greedy but it was that good. Thanks for sharing
  • This book is a gift and hopefully the start of a new arc in the Kate Daniels universe

This book delivered everything I was looking for in my return to the KDU. The writing duo that is Ilona Andrews done an excellent job building a world that is rich and full of possibility. Loved the MOT with AR and DG towards the end. Looking forward to the journey with these characters.

The return of Julie and Derek was fantastic! I’m waiting with bated breath for the next one. Great start to the full story of those two as adults.
  • Loved it!

This is a story of Julie after she left Atlanta and came back. Sometimes being the adult can be both rewarding and painful at the same time. While you could read this as a stand-alone book it is better to read the Kate Daniels series first. I really enjoyed it and sorry I read it to fast.
  • Great book

There are places in this book that just hurt, they should have and did. I was glad to see this world again and am amazed at what the change in POV did for it. Great book in this universe
