A compelling glimpse into race relations in the 1920s, Passing traces the lives of two mixed-race women ensnared by the era’s segregated worlds. One is raised as white and marries a racist, the other commits herself to racial equality. But after years apart their reunion only exposes how polarized their lives have become with tragic results.

The story itself was fine enough but there are a ton of punctuation and spelling issues. A problem with the scan perhaps? Whatever the reason, it made it pretty hard to read, especially when it came to character names. Bianca, Blanca, same person.

Without saying anything about the narrative itself, this electronic copy is riddled with punctuation and spelling mistakes. The scan clearly was not edited. Buy this book elsewhere. It is a good read and it deserves to be copied properly.
