Zane Grey never fails to delight and entertain and this book was no exception. A little slow to start but once the stage had been set I couldn’t put it down!

Rapid action and loaded with cowboy 'lingo', this is a wonderous story of the old west and 'the cowboy way'. Tough cowpunchers and strong women making their way through a vast land of danger and purple sage. And crowned with a happy ending. I can almost hear the harness jingle and smell the horses and dust. The kind of book I could read to my mother - in fact I did read it to my 91 year mother. She loved it. Towards the end she didn't want me to put it down to fix dinner.

Good old style western! Entertaining and a quick read. Can visualize the canyon and the wild horse trapping. All's well that ends well.

Zane Gray master of cowboy life and passion. Always ready with honorable men showing that they lived hard, worked hard and loved the land.
