This Hugo Award-winning graphic novel chronicles the fall from grace of a group of super heroes plagued by all-too-human failings. Along the way, the concept of the super-hero is dissected as the heroes are stalked by an unknown assassin. One of the most influential graphic novels of all time and a perennial bestseller, WATCHMEN has been studied on college campuses across the nation and is considered a gateway title, leading readers to other graphic novels such as V FOR VENDETTA, BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS and THE SANDMAN series.

  • Awesomeness

Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons created something truly special here. What if time could heal all wounds and the impossible happens and they make up and re-collaborate to give this world a whole new chapter of life...... Now that would be an ending nobody would of been able to predict ;)

This book is the single epitome of all Graphic Novel art. It really doesn't do it justice to read it on your phone. Alan Moore made this work of art with an extremely compelling storyline and world, which will keep you thinking. Some parts may be complex, but getting through them results in one of the most satisfactory reads you will ever have. A must read

This was the first graphic novel I've read and I'm glad I did. Very entertaining and thought provoking. It feature a comic within a comic, very Shakespearean. The characters were multidimensional, so the story never feels predictable. I don't want to ruin it, so I'll stop typing and let you discover the uniqueness of this comic. And if you've watch the movie already, the comic offers more depth to the story and characters like every novel turned into a film does. Put simply, if you like the movie you'll love this graphic novel.
  • Great character analysis

Thrilling, idealistic, masked men are in an alternate 1985 America, fruits of prior masked heroes. In depth examination of all the characters leads through a twisting story that will capture you in its roots. Rorschach is arguably the best graphic novel character I have ever read about. His perverse ideals about justice and his anti-hero setting really set a great mood for the story. Watching twice, even three times will really catch all of its glory. Happy reading!

Am I seriously the first to write a review on freaking WATCHMEN? Well, first of all, if you've never read it, buy it. Now! It's only the Bible of graphic novels. It deserves that praise all the way. Not only is it the greatest graphic novel ever created, it's honestly one of the best BOOKS you'll get around to reading. A masterpiece in every way. I'm quite happy to finally have this on my iPad.
