We start out on a happy note, which, sure enough, quickly "goes south". The next thing you know the team is knee deep in what could be the oldest crime ever discovered. The story develops nicely with a few "personal issues" along the way to keep things realistic. It then ends up so far from what it started out to be, it makes you realize how cleverly the author took one small clue and turned it into a very serious crime situation. A truly tragic type of crime, but such is the world we live in. Even so, the author recognizes this and treats the situation with respect. Some good and some bad news for our team members, but their life, as ours, goes on and they do what they must. A true "page turner", to get to the very surprising ending. Great book, and hello to book seven. RET. LT.

I love her books. I have read 6 of the books in this series and I have enjoyed each one. I can’t wait to read the next one. There is mystery and murder without the gore, friendships and family. But I am hoping she continues her relationship with a new man.

Kate Redman is a series that I've followed from the beginning and have loved each book. I like that she is a strong female, but the books still show her softer side and her failings. This book brings her relationship with her estranged mother to the front. (I have received a free copy of this book.)
