Another great story by Jill Shalvis, Cedar Ridge is a small ski town in Colorado. Bailey is a cancer survivor and for the first time in ten years she sees the future in front of her and wants to live life to the fullest. She is called by Hudson's mother to paint a mural of the Kincaid family at the resort. Hudson is the local cop and ski resort leader. He never has a moment of down time during ski season, but he's willing to take time off work once he meets Bailey. I have not read a book by Jill Shalvis that I have not loved, this one is no exception. Bailey and Hudson's story is caring, real, and family oriented. I highly recommend this book, and all of Jill's books. I cannot wait until the release of Nobody But You, can't wait to read Jacob's story. Everyone has been worried about him the whole series and he finally comes home.

Perfect story for a winter's day!! Loved curling up and enjoying another Jill Shalvis book. My Mom gave me my first book from this author, and she is now one that I look for regularly. My Kind of Wonderful is book two from The Cedar Ridge Series. (BTW, if you haven't read book one yet in the Cedar Ridge Series, you don't have to worry! This one can be read as a Stand Alone story!) I always love the way this author goes about her storytelling, and this book is no different. The characters in this story had great chemistry, and I really loved Bailey! She was spunky, and overcoming cancer has made her want to experience life in a new way. When she meets Hud, the chemistry is instant! It's really great when as a reader, you could feel the spark ignite when they were together on the pages. There is so much to love about this book, story of overcoming, story of family, and story of falling in love! LOVED IT! This is definitely a story romance lovers will want to check out, and SOON!

Great book. Love the family dynamic and humor that is a large part of the book. Hero is tall, dark, gorgeous, sweet and gentle. Heroine is sweet and gentle with a feisty side that is brought out by the hero. The chemistry between the two is evident at their first meeting and their passion grows stronger throughout the book. Good mix of humor while also dealing with serious topics. Love the descriptive writing and passionate love scenes.

I was a bit skeptical going into "My Kind of Wonderful" as I struggled a bit with the first book in the Ribbon Ridge series. But all of my concerns were for naught. This book was everything I look for in a Jill Shalvis novel and more. Hudson is the epitome of an alpha hero, but he's sensitive and completely tuned in to Bailey from the moment he meets her. His emotions run deep, especially his guilt and it casts a shadow over everything he does. Until he meets Bailey. Bailey is strong character and I love her spirit. One would think she'd have used up that strength fighting her battles over the past few years, but she has come out stronger and more determined that ever. That determination comes through immediately in her dealings with Hudson and his entire family. She's just the type of strong personality he needs. She stands up to him and challenges him in ways he didn't know he needed. I love the family dynamic of Hudson with his siblings, and also his mother. Her suffering is awful, but her kids are wonderful with her and when she is "present", she's got a wonderful free spirit about her. And I just have to say that the running family joke among the siblings was really quite hilarious and presented itself at just the right time in this story. And not specifically related to "My Kind of Wonderful", I especially enjoyed the teaser for the next book in the series in the back. That's one book I've already one-clicked! Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
