The Black Butterfly is a symbol of transformation and rebirth after death. Drake wrote this book for those who have lost someone in death and in life. This book is a collection of memories and experiences Drake lived after the death of one of his brothers. He promised he would write him a few words after he failed to complete the task while his brother was alive. This book is everything... this book is for all who are breathing and for all who are no longer here. This book is for you.

The poetry in this book was so incredibly written. I read this in one sitting, because each page had me drawn in. R.M. Drake is a true genius, and I love all of his work. I related to this poetry, and it played with my emotions but in a good way. Such an amazing read, well done.

This book had me in tears for about an hour after I left Barnes and Noble. It's beautifully written it got to me in such a way that the words felt as if they were crawling onto my skin and into my soul. There are very few books which get to me in such a way and that it why I'm writing this review. Beautiful piece of art.
